Was in the mood for Mexican and this was close to the highway. Bad choice. I was the only one there. The waiter never checked on me just brought me my food. Didn't even bring the check. The rice and beans were just warm and my enchiladas not so good. The cheese enchilada was gross. Weird cheese they use and the chicken enchilada was dry no seasoning.

Food was tasty not over sauced. Service a bit hit and miss, wife's water never refilled, waiter said he'd bring more napkins and chips, never happened. Booth next to us seemed to have some locals (we weren't) and received a lot more attention. Prices average. Another El Mariachi a 20 miles north, will try that one next time travelling Rt29.

Great service . Great food

Though I normally enjoy their food, called in tonight 20 minutes before closing to place a carryout order, told the person on the phone I lived minutes away but was told kitchen was closed and was hung up on. I understand closing a kitchen early but 20 minutes and hanging up is unacceptable.

This place offers hot delishish Mexican fare coupled by friendly service and very reasonable pricing. A full bar and an open atmosphere makes this place great for families with kids, date night, and so much more. My favorite Mexican restaurant.

I'm going to assume the people giving this place 4 to 5 stars have never left VA and actually eaten Mexican food. Maybe it's the same group of people who think Taco Bell is legit? While the place is clean and the staff polite, the food was awful. I'm pretty sure no Avocados were actually in the "guacamole". The food is bland, tasteless and a true disappointment. If you are from somewhere south or the west run away from this place as fast you can! You will only wonder what in the world you just put in your mouth. Honestly, it's really just some cheese covered glop. You won't like it. Trust me on this one.

Excellent Mexican food, full bar, wide variety of menu selections, and service is very prompt and timely throughout the meal. There are several great restaurants in Amherst, and this is one of them.

Good food. Polite waitress. A very spicey sauce was given along with my fish tacos. There should have been a warning attached with it! Yikes it was hot, mouth on 🔥, sinuses cleared out!

The restaurant overall was clean and the server was ok. However the food had no taste at all. So bland the water had more flavor. Kinda like a water downed no spices added taste. Maybe some people like to taste bland food, but I prefer a little spice and flavor.

I'm going to be honest because Amherst needs a good Mexican restaurant. The food really is too bland. I enjoyed the chips and salsa. Try adding some fresh cilantro to your salsa, it works wonders. I had the quesadilla texana. The beef and shrimp we're good but the food is not spicy enough or flavorful enough. Also, my portion was too small for the price and the guac was slightly brown and didn't taste fresh. I know you guys can do better!

My fiance and I were able to get in and out in less than 40 minutes. And on top of that the food and service was great!

It was ok some items did not seem fresh as possible. Service was good.
